Smartphone Film Festival San Diego Venue
The venue for International Mobile Film Festival in San Diego is a picturesque location within minutes from SeaWorld® and the boardwalk at the beach.

Marina Village Conference Center: 1936 Quivira Road, San Diego, California 92019 – E5 (located in Pacific Beach).

April 25, 2025: Friday, Day One – Kick Off Meet Up:
How much does a meetup to kick off the two day festival mean to filmmaker happiness? Attending filmmakers have tremendously praised this mingling, fun and exciting festivity at the Aquarius Bar & Grille. If you like to dance, there are two indoor and outdoor cover bands after dark.
There are several restaurants on the venue providing something tasty for everyone. We love the fish tacos to the festival room.

April 26 & 27, 2025: Official Festival Days, Saturday and Sunday:
The two-day festival includes two full feature length films and a number of short films screening in sessions. We have no specific time for specific short films, each session has a number of films. Before each session, we ask the filmmakers to provide a brief presentation to include a few words about their film. We ask all attending filmmakers attend the full two days to support each other and benefit from the best this festival offers indie filmmakers.
THE BIG REVEAL IS HERE! Check out the official selections and filmmakers!

Expect to watch all the films together throughout the event, participate in Q & A Sessions, panels and other activities. Walk the red carpet with Science Fiction Coalition and Dude Vader, San Diego Style. Attend an awards ceremony on Sunday evening, which marks the end of the festival as the celebrations continue throughout 2025!
Program schedule and all details will be available in April. Filmmakers should plan to attend the festival the full two days in order to connect with other filmmakers and industry professionals, and to participate in many opportunities to shine and share your filmmaking stories. Stay tuned on our Social page.

FAQ
ARE CHILDREN WELCOME?
All ages are welcome. Minors must be accompanied and supervised by an adult at all times.

The best deal for tickets is the ticket for BOTH festival days (Saturday and Sunday). It gives attendees a discount on the cost of two days purchased separately. No discounts qualify for this option.
IS PARKING FREE?
Yes, subject to availability, parking is free at the venue.
SHOULD I WAIT TO PAY IN PERSON?
Our space is limited. You should secure your ticket ASAP! Purchasing online is highly recommended. Purchasing tickets online helps us ensure maximum room capacity for safety.
ARE THERE RESTAURANTS AT THE VENUE?
Our program schedule provides ample opportunities to break, connect and network. There are a number of options to grab lunch and dinner just a few steps away…and it’s a beautiful short distance walking along the beautiful marina. The marina is about 40 steps from our room.

WILL YOU PAY FILMMAKERS’ TRAVEL EXPENSES?
Unfortunately, we cannot.
ARE FILMMAKERS REQUIRED TO PURCHASE TICKETS?
We do not ask filmmakers who have submitted films to our film festival (even if they are not selected) to pay for tickets to attend the festival. Attending contestants and participants will be comped for tickets. If filmmakers would like to support us for putting on a great festival experience you can purchase tickets, but it’s not required.
WHY SHOULD I ATTEND IN PERSON?
The festival is a very exciting event. The attending filmmakers are asked to watch each others’ films together during the festival because it is a show of support. We offer plenty of breaks during the festival for everyone to network and connect, even discuss each others’ films and exchange contact information to collaborate on projects together. IMFF’s programming is comprised of a series of Q & A Sessions and Panels, Workshops, shows and other elements that involve interactivity with each other and attendees. We are an intimate festival that celebrates art and filmmaking featuring you as the star celebrity in the house!
WHERE CAN I DONATE TO SUPPORT THE FESTIVAL?
As of December 2, 2024, IMFF has a fiscal sponsor. Thanks to our fiscal sponsor Angaelica, we are now able to accept donations. ANGAELICA is a non-profit 501(c)(3) and will provide tax deductible donation receipts to donors. Donate now.
