Itabuna, Bahia, Brazil
Apple iPhone 14 Pro
LEGEND is a music video that forms the second chapter of the visual album Free on Bail, exploring the right to believe in oneself through the perspective of a Black, queer artist. Shot entirely on a phone in the director’s own neighborhood, the film transforms everyday life, faith, and community into a manifesto of self-confidence and identity. By declaring himself a “legend in the making,” the protagonist performs an act of faith in his own potential — a radical gesture for bodies historically dismissed and underestimated. Blending Afro-Brazilian spirituality with urban imagery, LEGEND asserts that legendary art does not depend on privilege or expensive gear, but on the courage to exist, dream, and affirm one’s own light.
