All film submissions are now closed for IMFF 2022. Don't miss out on the festival this year. We are planning an in-person event with our red carpet extravaganza featuring Star Wars Steampunk Universe and starring YOU! Sponsors Film Convert, Moondog Labs and FilmicPro are providing prizes. We are grateful to all our sponsors. You can find them in our Sponsors and Collaborators Page.

BIG NEWS Upon launching our 11th annual film submissions!

Since it launched in 2009, IMFF based in San Diego has only accepted films shot with smartphones. Coming out of the pandemic, it transforms itself. Learn more.

Congrats to Jennifer Zhang! Avatar Entertainment has taken foreign sales rights on Jennifer Zhang's feature length film, Charon and is shopping it at Cannes. Read about it on Deadline Hollywood Magazine! Charon won Best Feature Film in 2021 in our film festival. Jennifer Zhang picked up her trophy award in San Diego on July 20th. And because she is the only person in the world to shoot AND edit a feature length film on her phone, we surprised her with the Feature Film Pioneer Award. Sponsors Dude Vader representing Star Wars Steampunk Universe, Swords and Circuitry Studios, festival ambassador Aaron Nabus and our festival friend and Comics Artist Keithan Jones also joined us. Congrats, Jennifer! Watch the video.

Check out our cool brand merchandise available to inspire you and your friends to share stories making films and videos with your smartphone cameras. We launched our store June 12. Read our welcome message.

We are excited to announce the three films selected for the IMFF 2021 Feature Film Competition! Congratulations to Jennifer Zhang "Charon" shot and edited on iPhone; Jai Sharma and Chandan Roy Sanyal "So Sicily"; and Patrick R. Young & Powell Robinson "Threshold."

Go to our "MFF" page to see the filmmakers in the IMFF 2021 Short Film Competition! 50 short films were selected! Every film and filmmaker is now listed on the MFF page.

Cool Tip: With social distancing, if you are out and about and want to share with someone where to go to see the festival page, you can tell people to go to SBP.CC and it will take them right to the "MFF" page on our website. You can even shout it from your car's window, or your bike, at passers by...well, maybe that's extreme but stay safe out there!
